OMG, it's almost Christmas! I don't have enough time to do anything, so this has to be a very short, very quick post about three items of news that all, as it so happens, have to do with this year's Kohaku Utagassen.

I don't think I mentioned it here yet, but Mark and I are visiting his parents in North Dakota this week for Christmas. There's a little bit of snow on the ground, but the weather report says there's a winter storm warning for the area on Christmas Eve and Christmas Day. So...we might actually have snow falling for Christmas. I'm excited! :D

As you may or may not have noticed I started a Johnny's Fandom Survey last night. If you're a member of one of the bigger Johnny's communities on Livejournal you have probably seen it on your f-page. Have you ever wondered how old your average Johnny's fan is? Or how long they have been in the fandom? Or what percentage of foreign fans has actually ever attended a Johnny's concert? Or which has more Johnny's fans, South America or Australia? Or how many fanboys there really are?

I have a devised a little survey for Johnny's fans, and I would really appreciate it if as many of you as possible would take part in it because the more people take part the more accurate the results will be. Thanks to the hundreds and thousands of people who left comments or sent emails that were all "OMG, Kamichan, they performed Romeo & Juliet on School kakumei today, OMG! *flail*". I live in a timezone that is somewhat inconvenient for watching SK when it airs (Sunday morning at 4am? I don't think so!), so all these emails were a nice thing to wake up to. Thanks again. Hallelujah, I’m back online with a brand new old computer. It’s a long story, don’t ask. I spent all day today (well, almost) getting my computer problems fixed. I always get them fixed somehow, but usually not without losing huge amounts of data. But this time things went a lot more smoothly. Not only did I keep all my files and settings and emails and bookmarks, but I also managed to restore some 40GB of data that I thought I had lost earlier this year. Lots of old photos and videos and all my music and everything, so yeah, that’s good and I’m very happy today. (read more)

Good news, everyone! Yesterday the January episodes of Shonen Club were recorded. The themes are 感謝 [kansha = gratitude] and JUMP. That’s right, JUMP as in Hey!Say!JUMP, and that’s why Hey!Say!JUMP will be guests!
